With a level of dark humor and explicit violent content driven mostly by the satirical nature of the series. Leading to the game being banned in countries like Australia, New Zealand, and since 2016, also in Germany. But it remains one of the most beloved titles in the community. POSTAL 2 Redux Announced – A Remaster of the Classic FPS
Following the announcement of a VR version of the famous Postal 2, in collaboration with the Flat2VR Studios team, Running with Scissors has brought us an exciting announcement. Confirming that the team is also bringing Postal 2 Redux. A remastered version of Postal 2 with a graphical upgrade and modern gameplay features.
Remaster developed in collaboration with Flat2VR Studios and Team Beef to bring the classic up to modern standards over 20 years after its release. The project will be funded via a Kickstarter campaign launching this Summer. With a planned launch on all major platforms.

POSTAL 2 Redux: What’s New and Latest News
This news comes about 3 months after the announcement of Postal 2 VR, but definitely not by chance. The RWS team confirms the decision for this Redux to honor the game and make a version compatible for development on VR. Making a true port of the game from Unreal Engine 1.5 to a modern Unity version, offering:
- New Graphics: High-resolution detailed textures and a new lighting system
- More Reactive World: Instant loading and more reactive NPCs.
- Weapons and Destructible Objects: Improved physics and weapon dismemberment. With various objects having physics and destructibility.
- Champ 2.0: The Postal Dude’s dog also gets an upgrade with many new interactions.
Redux version, which we remind you, as mentioned by RWS, will come alongside Postal 2 VR. With the team announcing soon the Kickstarter campaign start date. Expected for Summer 2025.

A fantastic surprise for the series fans. Initially a bit disappointed by the announcement of Postal 2 returning as a VR experience. But now, with the announcement of an even more ambitious and larger remaster compared to the Postal Redux of 2016.
