Verified by Centro Leaks and Teraleak Sources

The leak originated from a user named RyDawgE, later verified by the well-known Centro Leaks, the same source behind the massive “Teraleak” that unveiled Pokémon’s Gen 10 roadmap. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), RyDawgE shared screenshots and footage from an early playable version built in Unity. 

Centro Leaks followed up with short gameplay clips and even linked what appears to be the source code — confirming that the prototype is indeed functional. The leaker also suggested that development initially began under Game Freak before being handed over to Koei Tecmo, hinting at a deeper collaboration than previously thought.

 

A Pixel-Art Pokémon World That Never Was

What’s striking about this prototype is its retro pixel-art style, a major shift from the 3D visuals Nintendo showcased earlier this year. Fans have compared it to Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, praising its nostalgic charm and smoother visual flow.

Reports also claim that Pokémon Pokopia originally started as a Nintendo Switch 1 project, envisioned as a spiritual successor to Pokémon: Let’s Go. The Teraleak further supports this, revealing early design documents tied to the same codebase.
