MultiVersus Launching in May A Year After Going Offline

We finally have a re-release date for Warner Bros. Games’ free-to-play brawler MutliVersus, with the fighting game set to release this coming May.

MultiVersus Release Date Announced

MultiVersus has got a new release date of May 28, which is almost a year after the game went offline following its success open beta.

In the release date announcement video, Tony Huynh, co-founder and CEO of developer Player First revealed that rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, MultiVersus is built from the ground up with a new netcode to support “consistent game performance” on all platforms.

The re-launch will also feature new fighters to the roster, although Huynh didn’t tell us who will be joining the line-up, and that it will also come with an all-new PvE mode where players can earn uniqe rewards.

The MultiVersus announcement trailer didn’t reveal much more, with the devs promising more details in the coming weeks. When it does launch on May 28, it will do so on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
