Helldivers 2 Redacted Regiment: Validating the New Arsenal
For months, “stealth” in Helldivers 2 was mostly luck and running away. This Warbond changes the physics of engagement with suppressed weaponry that actually functions.
The R-72 Censor is a mid-range precision rifle that features an integrated suppressor. It allows you to pick off Automaton Commissars without alerting the entire outpost.
If you prefer volume over precision, the AR-59 Suppressor offers a fully automatic alternative. It trades some armor penetration for the ability to spray down targets while keeping your position vague.
The standout, however, is the B/MD C4 Pack. This backpack Stratagem holds six adhesive C4 charges. You can detonate them individually or all at once. It essentially turns you into a walking saboteur, perfect for setting traps on extraction points or blowing up fabricators without calling in an airstrike.

HD2 Stealth Tactics vs Conventional Firepower
The most significant meta-shift comes from the new armor passive: Reduced Signature.
Found on the RS-89 Shadow Paragon (Light) and RS-67 Null Cipher (Medium) sets, this passive cuts your noise generation and reduces the range at which enemies detect you. Combined with the new TM-01 Lure Mine, which uses light and sound to bait patrols into a kill zone, you can now manipulate enemy movement rather than just reacting to it.
For the drop itself, the Concealed Insertion booster deploys a smokescreen the moment your Hellpod lands. No more instant death loops on hot drops.
The big question is utility. Stealth is powerful, but it’s slower. In high-level missions (Difficulty 7+), time is often the enemy. These tools reward patience, which might conflict with the frenetic pace of public lobbies.
Is the Warbond Essential?
If you play solo or run with a coordinated squad, “Redacted Regiment” is a must-have. The C4 Pack and Lure Mines open up entirely new tactical avenues that didn’t exist before.
