The Game Awards 2025 went down last night, crowning Clair Obscure Expedition 33 as Game of the Year and sweeping up 9 awards. But we’re not here to talk about all the winners—you can check those out here. Right now, we’re focusing exclusively on the World Premieres: the games revealed to the world for the very first time.

Game Awards 2025 World Premieres

Bradley The Badger: Satire Meets Open-World

The first game showcased at The Game Awards 2025 was Bradley The Badger, announced with an absolutely hilarious trailer. We meet Bradley, a badger who just wanted to step out of his house, only to find everything he knew gone. The village has vanished, replaced by a dark corridor. But Bradley doesn’t give up; he pushes forward, surviving in this strange world that is essentially a video game.

He stumbles upon incomplete assets and eventually finds a controller. With it, he can duplicate objects, transform into them, and even resize them. This allows Bradley to turn into a car and run over enemies. Add in some self-made platforming sections and combat, and you’ve got a wild ride—all served with a healthy dose of humor.

Stupid Never Dies: Kobayashi’s Action Comeback

Next up was the premiere of Stupid Never Dies, introduced with a super catchy song. You control Davy the Zombie, living at the bottom of the social ladder in a world full of monsters—werewolves, lizardmen, and skeletons. But Davy is in love with a human named Julia. His true love has been frozen, and to get her back, he must traverse the deadliest dungeon imaginable.

We haven’t seen a ton of gameplay yet, but it’s shaping up to be a Hack n Slash action game. As Davy, you wield various abilities to fight off hordes of enemies. You can transform into a werewolf, spawn allies that explode inside enemies, and much more. Davy gains his powers by devouring other creatures, getting stronger with every bite.

4:LOOP: Bad Robot’s Co-Op Puzzle-Shooter

Moving on to 4:LOOP. In this game, the world was invaded and lost in less than a minute. However, a few survivors remain, determined to save the world. To do so, they must use the very machine that destroyed it. The game makes it clear upfront: the task is impossible, and you will definitely die. How motivating!

But thanks to technology, you are brought back to life again and again. You can experiment repeatedly and learn from your mistakes. 4:LOOP is an action co-op shooter for up to 4 players with the motto: Fail. To Save the World.

Decrepit: Solo-Dev Horror Soulslike

Another World Premiere trailer at The Game Awards 2025 was for “Decrepit.” Not much is known about the story yet, or if there’s a heavy narrative focus. What we do know is that you are trapped in an abandoned castle and need to escape. Naturally, a variety of enemies await you on your way out.

Every time you die, you wake up in a small cell and have to restart your escape. But of course, your gained knowledge makes you stronger, and you can loot weapons and gear from enemies to aid in combat. It’s a Soulslike played from a First-Person perspective. Your loadout consists of armor, a weapon, and a staff, defining your playstyle and offering many different ways to tackle the game.

Invincible VS: 3v3 Tag-Team Brutality

Next, we have Invincible VS. This is a brutal superhero 3v3 tag-fighting game set in the Invincible universe. You fight with fan-favorite characters in iconic locations from the series. This means you can pull off various combos with superhero abilities to absolutely pummel your opponents.

Invincible VS offers a wide range of game modes, including a cinematic Story Mode with an original plot written by the show’s writer. If you just want to brawl, there’s Arcade, Training Mode, and of course, Competitive and Casual Multiplayer.

No Law: Neon Giant’s Gritty FPS

And the final game presented to us for the first time at The Game Awards 2025 is No Law. The game takes place in Port Desire, a city that belongs to no one. There are no laws and no surveillance. But naturally, a rising Mayor wants to bring order to the city—peace on his own terms.

You play as someone who walked away from conflict and just wanted a quiet life. But the city won’t let you go, so you have to fight. Now you’re out to take down everyone—the Mayor, his henchmen, and anyone standing in your way. The game is a First Person Shooter.

Conclusion: Which Premiere Won the Night?

The Game Awards 2025 impressively demonstrated how much creative energy still exists in new IPs. From satirical open-world chaos to brutal superhero fights and dark horror experiments, it had it all. Each of these world premieres focuses on something different and appeals to its own audience. But which of these games has the most potential for you, and which premiere will stick with you long after the show?
