A new leak suggests that Fallout fans may soon have more to look forward to than a distant Fallout 5
Despite official statements pointing toward a very long wait for both The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5, new information indicates that the Fallout universe is far from dormant. Recent leaks hint at not one but several projects in preparation. Promising fresh content much sooner than expected, including a remaster of Fallout New Vegas.

Fallout: Major Projects May Arrive Long Before Fallout 5
While fans anxiously await the next mainline installment, Todd Howard recently confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 remains “very far from release,” which indirectly delays Fallout 5 even further. However, according to new reports, Bethesda is far from leaving the franchise idle.
Additional leaks suggest that multiple secondary projects are progressing in parallel. These could help maintain momentum around the franchise while the studio focuses on its long-term RPG roadmap.
Fallout 3 Remastered Could Be the First in Line
Rising speculation points to a potential Unreal Engine 5 remaster of Fallout 3, following Bethesda’s confirmed Oblivion Remastered initiative thanks to Virtuous. This would mark a significant return for one of the most iconic entries in the franchise.
If these leaks prove accurate, Fallout 3 could receive modern graphics, improved stability, and enhanced performance — a major upgrade for longtime fans. The idea of resurrecting a classic Bethesda RPG with today’s technology is already fueling debates across the community.
Fallout: New Vegas Remastered Reportedly Also in Development
According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, Fallout: New Vegas may also be on track for its own remaster, responding to fans who questioned why only Fallout 3 would get a modernized version.
Corden reportedly replied on X.com: “Don’t worry, Fallout New Vegas Remastered is coming too.” This claim suggests that two major remasters could be in the works simultaneously, potentially reviving the franchise ahead of future TV seasons and upcoming expansions for Fallout 76.

A Unique New Angle: The Impact of TV Adaptations on Bethesda’s Roadmap
The success of the Fallout TV series may be playing a bigger role than expected in accelerating these side projects. With Season 2 scheduled for December 2025, remasters may serve as strategic complements — strengthening the franchise’s momentum at a time when mainstream interest is peaking again.
Some analysts believe Bethesda could increasingly synchronize game releases and TV content, creating a unified ecosystem similar to other major entertainment franchises. If that happens, players might benefit from more frequent spin-offs, remasters, and cross-media experiences.
In Conclusion: The Post-Apocalyptic World continues to thrive
While nothing is officially confirmed yet, signs point to an exciting transitional period for the Fallout franchise. Between rumored remasters, ongoing content for Fallout 76, and the growing influence of the TV adaptation, fans may soon have plenty of reasons to return to the wasteland.

Well, Oblivion Remaster leak was true and it was a success so I totally believe this other leak, it is easier for them to cash money with these remasters than making a new one. For me it will be FO3, I didn't like that much NV, but that is me being odd as usual. And waiting for the unreal 5 remaster of Skyrim :P
