Techland has recently found itself in boiling water after their tweet on Dying Light 2’s playtime stirred a lot of discussion.
The tweet reads: “To fully complete Dying Light 2 Stay Human, you’ll need at least 500 hours – almost as long as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid.”
This did not sit well with players eagerly waiting for the game, because most understood this as Techland saying they literally need to spend 500 hours to complete it. To finally put players’ minds at ease, the studio explained in another tweet what they really meant.
According to Techland, the amount of time a player can complete Dying Light 2 will depend mostly on his playstyle. Those who will go through its main story alone will only need 20 hours to complete it. On the other hand, players who are the type to go through side quests in addition to the main story will be able to complete it in 80 hours.
Now the controversial 500 hours. Techland explained that 500 hours will be spent if a player “max out the game with all the main and side quests, choices and endings, checking every place on the map, every dialogue, and finding every collectible.”
With that being said, how long do you think you could complete Dying Light 2? Are you up for the 500-hour challenge, or are you just the average guy? Let us know in the comments!
