Train Sim World 5 is a Train-themed immersive automobile sim game developed by Dovetail Games, the Fifth Iteration in the Train Sim World franchise you will take on new challenges and new roles as you master new tracks of three iconic cities and routes.

  • London – Be swept off your feet with the commuter mayhem of the West Coast Mainline, the detailed cab of the Northwestern Class 350, and operate semi-fast and commuter services between Milton Keyes and Euston.
  • Frankfurt – experience the twisting KINZIGTALBAHN, bank around the scenic Kinzig Valley aboard the tilting DB BR 411 ICE-T, shuttle along the line in the regional BR 114 + Dostos, and haul freight with the mighty DB Vectron. It’s all systems that go between Frankfurt and Fulda.
  • LOS ANGELES – Experience the sun-soaked tracks of the SAN BERNARDINO LINE. With both the powerful F125 and sleek MP36, hustle between highways and dash from town to town on the daily suburban commute then connect the sprawling Greater LA metropolis and run the foothills of the Cajon peaks.
• Conductor Mode: A new way to play the game putting you in the role of the guard/conductor on any services checking tickets, operating the doors, and ensuring passenger safety.
• New Customization tools like creator’s club, photo Mode, and more. The live map gets you a real-time, bird s-eye view of any route. Route hopping allows you to fast travel across routes to catch the action at any station or hop between geography-shared routes and on foot to access your collection.

Train Sim World 5 shunts the series forward with a number of smaller improvements. While the base package feels a bit unnecessary, it’s effectively a free client upgrade for existing expansion owners, and therefore worth your time. Of the new routes included with the Deluxe Edition, we really love the West Coast Main Line, and the other two additions bring their own character and challenges.
