Replaced takes place in a dystopian 1980s America with retro-cyberpunk aesthetics. I had a chance to try the demo and found it pretty enjoyable, the controls are smooth and the sidescroller camera blends well with the gameplay. My only complaint is the lack of variety in terms of combat moves and enemies, it was only a demo so it might be way more in the full game.
Replaced is the coolest pixel art 2.5D game I’ve ever seen, the art skills used to create the cyberpunk aesthetics give it a unique look, both in exploration and cinematics. The combat is also very smooth with lots of cool moves for the hero, who is actually an IA trapped in a human body. Gameplay is the typical platformer and the objective is to expose the experiments that made you end up in your current situation, and probably save the world. Definitely a must play game of 2026
