About Pillars of Eternity

Pillars of eternity is an Isometric RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment Inspired by classic CRPGs like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape Torment. Pillars of eternity take place in the world of Eora where magic exists and is shaped by the quality of the person’s soul. Dyrwood a coastal region in the southern hemisphere of Eora, a highly contested region by different factions of the world for its many Engwithan ruins. Engwithans are an ancient extinct society rumored to have a lot of insight into the nature of souls. In the middle of all this is the player character a newcomer of Dyrwood caught up in a strange supernatural phenomenon and forced to deal with the various factions that are vying for control of the region.

• Choose from one of the six races to play as Humans, Elves, Aumaua’s, Godlike’s, dwarves, or Orlan’s each of these races has unique perks, abilities, and subraces indicate where your character comes from.
• Build a character from 11 unique classes: Barbarian, Chanter, Cipher, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Priest, Ranger, Rogue, and Wizard. Each Class can serve a specialized role in combat.
• Explore the world of Eora and make your own story. Decisions you make can have far-reaching consequences for the world at large, side with different factions using the game’s reputation system.

Pillars of Eternity’s port to the Switch is a great port indeed. It brings the modern classic to the handheld scene for on the go awesomeness.

During the sixty to seventy hours it takes to make your way through the main story and DLC on offer in Pillars Of Eternity (much more should you choose, quite rightly, to meander), you’ll meet a cast of unforgettable travelling companions, fight your way through labyrinthian dungeons, explore deserted Dwarven fortresses, become Lord of your very own stronghold and undertake quests as varied as they are beautifully-written and acted.

Despite these Switch-specific issues, Pillars Of Eternity is an absolute joy to play through. With the main campaign and two expansions included there’s well over forty hours of excellent RPG to get stuck into. It’s one of the Switch’s best ports because it’s one of this generations finest titles.
