How to Redeem a Nintendo Switch Code on Nintendo eShop

Purchased a cheap digital game for your Nintendo console? 1. HOW TO REDEEM A CODE ON NINTENDO SWITCH & SWITCH 2 CONSOLE

This is the fastest method to activate your game key directly from your couch:

1. Turn on your console and select the orange Nintendo eShop bag icon from the HOME menu.
2. Select the user profile linked to the Nintendo Account you wish to register the game to.
3. In the left-hand navigation menu, scroll down and select Enter Code (or Redeem Code).
4. Type your 16-character digital download code using the on-screen keyboard. (Hyphens are added automatically, and the code is not case-sensitive).
5. Select OK and confirm Redeem. Your download will start immediately on your console’s storage or MicroSD card.

2. HOW TO REDEEM A CODE VIA WEB BROWSER

You can activate your game key from any computer, tablet, or smartphone without powering on your console:

1. Sign in to your Nintendo Account on the official Nintendo eShop Redemption Portal.

2. Paste or type your 16-character product key into the input box and click Next.

3. Verify the game title displayed on the confirmation screen, then click Redeem.

Tip: If your Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 is in Sleep Mode and connected to Wi-Fi, the game will download automatically in the background.

3. BOUGHT A GAME ACCOUNT INSTEAD? HOW TO SET IT UP

If you purchased a discounted digital account instead of a standard 16-character key, you received login credentials (email and temporary password) rather than a code:

1. Go to System Settings > Users > Add User > Create a New User.
2. Choose an avatar, then select Link a Nintendo Account.
3. Enter the login email and password supplied by the seller in your Allkeyshop delivery email.
4. Launch the Nintendo eShop with this new user, click on the profile icon in the top-right corner, go to Redownload, and download the game.

4. WHY IS MY NINTENDO CODE NOT WORKING?

If you receive an error message when entering your key, verify these common issues before contacting customer support:

• Region Mismatch (Error 2813-6561): Nintendo digital codes and eShop cards are strictly region-locked. A European (EUR) code cannot be activated on a US account. Ensure your Nintendo Account country matches the region of the purchased key.
• Typo Confusion: Carefully verify letters and numbers that look identical: the number 0 vs. letter O, number 1 vs. letter I, or number 5 vs. letter S.
