Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a new tactical turn-based RPG, set in the darker side of the marvel universe more specifically it’s based on the occult superhero team known as the Midnight Sons, developed by Firaxis Games known for their work on the Civilization franchise and the X-com series. Lilith the mother of Demons has risen from her eternal slumber due to the foolish tampering of the agents of Hydra, she is hellbent on fulfilling an ancient prophecy that will bring back her evil master Cthon. Desperate for help the Avengers enlisted the help of the Midnight Suns a group of heroes deeply entrenched in the supernatural forces and awakened The Hunter the customizable player character, the lost daughter of Lilith the only known hero to be able to face her head-on in battle and survive.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns are, without question, my Game of the Year and have quickly become one of my favorite games of all time.
If not for a rather significant bug that dragged back my progress, Marvel’s Midnight Suns would have been an absolute joy from start to finish. A nice twist on the RPG format that lets you get up close and personal (platonically) with some of the biggest names in the Marvel universe.

When 2K joins forces with 4X giant Firaxis, the father of Civilization, we have a beautiful baby in the person of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The game has not been botched, everything is neat here: the soundtrack, the dialogues, the dynamic fights, the references to movies and comics, the visual artifacts, the content which is huge, the excellent life span… Everything is there! Tactics are not a secondary aspect, you have to think to win. Finally, our choices really have a considerable impact on the rest of the story, and we feel involved in the development of the scenario.
The big drawback is the technical optimization of the game. I have good performance, but I have some crashes sometimes. Some people don’t, others more than me… it’s a bit of a lottery and it’s a shame.
