Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a new tactical turn-based RPG, set in the darker side of the marvel universe more specifically it’s based on the occult superhero team known as the Midnight Sons, developed by Firaxis Games known for their work on the Civilization franchise and the X-com series. Lilith the mother of Demons has risen from her eternal slumber due to the foolish tampering of the agents of Hydra, she is hellbent on fulfilling an ancient prophecy that will bring back her evil master Cthon. Desperate for help the Avengers enlisted the help of the Midnight Suns a group of heroes deeply entrenched in the supernatural forces and awakened The Hunter the customizable player character, the lost daughter of Lilith the only known hero to be able to face her head-on in battle and survive.

• The Hunter is the first customizable original hero in the Marvel Universe, customize your abilities to fit your playstyle, unlock iconic outfits and lead a legendary collection of heroes that span across multiple series The Avengers, X-Men, Runaways, and more.

The missions you will be going on are where the game shines the most though. Gathering your favorite heroes and building their decks to work off of each other to pull awesome combos and KO as many enemies in one turn as you can is just so much fun. A very rewarding feeling when you win. Very little in terms of negatives and Marvel’s Midnight Suns is definitely in my game-of-the-year conversations!

The cavalcade of characters brought in for this crossover between comic heroes is fantastic too. It’s just slightly disappointing that Hunter, the main character, doesn’t really feel as if they belong. You shouldn’t have to worry over technical issues either, but it happens.
