Dead Cells is a combination of two different game genres Metroidvania’s and Roguelite’s meaning it has the large maps and exploration of Metroidvania’s and the permadeath and randomness of Roguelike games RougeVania as we like to call it. Dead cells build from the Metroidvanias that came before it, go off and explore the large map to get access to hidden areas to get bonuses to help you on your run. Dying is part of the learning process the more you play the game the more you get better you will also unlock permanent buffs like weapon upgrades on your runs.
Dead Cells is a masterpiece. It is the marriage and apotheosis of decades of Metroidvania design and the surging popularity of difficult Roguelike games. It is exquisite in all ways. It looks phenomenal. It plays like a dream. It makes you want to keep coming back even when you fail.
There aren’t too many good roguelike action platformers out there, but those that are really great are even fewer. Dead Cells is clearly part of the last group, a rare breed of games that get you addicted by killing you over and over again, but masterfully pulling you back in every time.

The Bad Seed DLC introduces 3 new Biomes at the early stages of the game the Arboretum, the Swamp, and the Heart of the Swamp housing the new boss for the biomes the mama tick, 5 new enemies, 6 new items, and 13 new outfits themed around the DLC.
