The team behind CrossCode is finally dropping the demo for Alabaster Dawn, their new 2.5D action RPG adventure!

Alabaster Dawn (AD) is the new Action RPG Adventure game in development from the team at Radical Fish Games. A German indie development studio known for their 2018 debut title, CrossCode. Funded by an Indiegogo campaign and published by Deck13, it received huge success, paying homage to classic 16-bit action RPGs.

First announcing AD in August 2024 as Project Terra. They dropped new details in 2025. With the new trailer from 19 July at the Secret Sauce Showcase 2025. Alabaster Dawn – First Demo Release Date Revealed

Following the trailer from 19 July 2025 and their appearance at Gamescom, the team at Radical Fish Games finally brings news about the Alabaster Dawn demo. Confirming just this 11 September 2025 the release date for the Demo of their new action RPG adventure. It will be available on Steam exactly on:

  • Thursday, 18 September 2025 at 6:00 am PT/ 9:00 am ET/ 15:00 CEST

Accompanied by a very short teaser, featuring an adventure where we’ll follow Juno. In an action adventure full of challenges, from combat to powerful enemies led by the forces of Nyx. With the goal and seemingly impossible mission to save the entire world.

 

Alabaster Dawn: What the Game Demo Offers

So next Thursday, we’ll get to try the first public Demo of the new title from the team behind CrossCode. With a project that is totally independent and self-published. The team confirms that the game demo will be split into two 2 different parts. Offering in total:

  • Length: About 1.5 to 2.5 hours of content
  • Weapons: Offering 2 melee and 2 ranged weapons. Each with its own Skill Tree and combos.
  • Enemies: 9 different types of enemies and 4 Bosses to beat.

Specifically, the first part will follow the Beginning of the game and the Prologue. With saves compatible with the full version. And a second part that will have a skip, allowing us to explore some features and mechanics. Including the first part of a Dungeon. This save file, however, will take you back to the first part if loaded with the full game.
