IS E3 2022 CANCELED?
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has officially canceled E3 2022.
E3 2020’s digital and physical events were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and E3 2021 only featured a digital event.
Unfortunately, after announcing that E3 2022 would not be held in person, the ESA has now confirmed that there will be no E3 2022.
Rather than hold a digital-only event, the ESA promises to “devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalized physical and digital E3 experience next summer.”
The E3 2023 showcase “will bring the community, media, and industry back together in an all-new format and interactive experience.”
2022 will still have plenty of gaming events and showcases, including Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2022, Nordic Game 2022, and The Game Awards 2022.
WHAT IS E3 2022?
The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is a trade event for the video game industry.
E3 brings developers, publishers, manufacturers, journalists, and gamers together to celebrate the biggest video games.
The first E3 event was held in 1995, and since then, E3 has become one of the world’s leading gaming events and showcases.
