DREADMOOR is a game in development by the team at Dream Dock. A small Russian studio based in Warsaw, debuting with this ambitious project. It features a fishing game set in a post-apocalyptic nuclear-themed world. We’ll explore a submerged world through the Drownlands.

DREADMOOR: A First-Person Fishing Game with a Lovecraft Theme

On April 15, 2025, the Dream Dock team surprised us by revealing DREADMOOR. An exploratory fishing adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world. The first project from this small Warsaw studio, combining a Fallout and Metro-style experience with a fishing game that will remind you of Dredge.

Accompanied by an announcement trailer. A pre-rendered trailer showcasing the devastated world of the Drownlands. A first-person adventure filled with exploration, fishing, and the mysteries of a world as hostile as it is fascinating.

 

DREADMOOR – Main Features

Dream Dock’s title offers a great first-person adventure. Featuring a world to explore both on foot and aboard our boat, complemented by an extensive fishing experience integrated into the gameplay. Here’s what to expect:

  • Post-apocalyptic adventure: An adventure in a deeply scarred and now submerged world. Explore both on foot and across the waters, with dangers lurking around every corner. But also many mysteries, precious blueprints, and materials to uncover.
  • Fishing Marine Creatures: Over 100 marine creatures to capture and sell. Each with different habits and baits, as well as varying levels of danger. The harder and rarer the creature, the more the merchants will pay.
  • Resources, Crafting, and Upgrades: A variety of resources to collect, from baits and medicines to harpoons. Rare blueprints and resources are hidden throughout the world. Don’t forget the upgrades for your boat!

The first announcement of DREADMOOR has certainly sparked various online discussions. With many people showing strong interest in a first-person adventure similar to Dredge. However, some indie game fans have called it “too inspired” by AI, if not made with AI. The Dream Dock team remains optimistic and promises to bring more news soon.
