Amazon Prime Gaming has kicked off this week’s update a little earlier than usual, with the latest batch of PC titles going live on Tuesday instead of the standard Thursday rollout. The lineup brings together three different experiences, ranging from a recently remastered classic trilogy to a major open-world crime story and a tactical sci-fi squad experience.

This Week’s Amazon Luna Free PC Game Drop

Leading the selection is Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered, a refreshed collection that brings together three of Lara Croft’s darker-era adventures in one package. Unlike titles typically featured in Prime Gaming rotations which are mostly old or indies (nothing wrong with that though!), this release is recent, having only launched last year in remastered form.

It includes The Last Revelation, where Lara’s discovery of an ancient Egyptian tomb triggers an unexpected catastrophe tied to the god Set, Chronicles, which pieces together stories told after Lara is presumed dead, and The Angel of Darkness, where she is forced on the run while uncovering a wider conspiracy involving secret experiments and ancient artifacts.

Players can switch between classic visuals and updated graphics at any time, while exploring a wide range of real-world inspired locations including Cairo, Rome, and Paris. It’s a more narrative-driven stretch of the series that leans heavily into atmosphere and story progression.

Next up is Mafia III Definitive Edition which bundles the base game along with all story expansions and bonus packs. Set in 1968 in the fictional city of New Bordeaux, the story follows Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam veteran who returns home to find his surrogate family wiped out by the Italian mob. What follows is a revenge-driven rise through the criminal underworld as he builds a new network of allies while taking down those responsible.

The game offers a mix of approaches to missions, letting players go in loud or take a more stealth-focused route while also building influence across the city through decisions that shape which allies rise or fall. It also ties back neatly to previous Prime Gaming drops, as earlier entries in the series have appeared in past rotations.

Closing out the trio is XCOM Chimera Squad, a standalone tactical entry set after the events of XCOM 2. In this story, humans and former alien forces are now attempting to coexist in City 31, although tensions remain high beneath the surface. Chimera Squad is formed to deal with emerging threats and unstable factions that put the fragile peace at risk.

Unlike traditional XCOM entries, combat here is structured around smaller, more controlled encounters, with a focus on coordinated squad actions and a turn system that alternates between allies and enemies in a fixed order. Between missions, you also manage operations at headquarters, balancing investigations and assignments while unrest spreads across the city districts.

That wraps up this week’s drop which went live earlier than expected. Another set of 4 games is scheduled to arrive next week as the Prime Gaming rotation continues through the month. And as always, there are still additional games available through Amazon Luna streaming for supported regions.
