We’re only a few sleeps away from Gamescom 2025, which means we’re also just days away from the official reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. While rumors and leaks have been going around for months, the one announcement everyone has been waiting for is the game’s release date. Now, two reliable sources have corroborated the same information: the highly anticipated FPS is set to launch on November 14, 2025.

Reliable insider Billbil-kun reports that Black Ops 7 will arrive on November 14, 2025. This date was also independently confirmed by Insider Gaming.
The date had been mentioned as far back as June, and if accurate, it shows Activision has kept development on track. It also mirrors the franchise’s tradition of mid-November launches as Black Ops 2 and Cold War both dropped on November 13, making the timing feel right.
This release window is also smart from a strategic standpoint. Right now, Battlefield 6 dominates the FPS spotlight, but by giving players a month in between, Activision avoids direct competition. That spacing lets fans dive into both titles without splitting the hype or the player base too early, a win for the community and the genre as a whole. After all, releasing two titans side by side rarely benefits either.
The report also notes that Black Ops 7 will release on nearly all major platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and Xbox One but with one glaring omission: Nintendo. That came as a surprise to many, especially given Microsoft’s 2023 pledge, made during its battle to get the Activision Blizzard acquisition cleared, that future Call of Duty titles would launch on Nintendo systems too “with full feature and content parity” alongside Xbox. Yet, as it stands, not only is Black Ops 7 skipping Switch and Switch 2 on release day, but older entries haven’t made their way to Nintendo’s consoles either.
For Nintendo players, it feels like a lost opportunity, particularly with the excitement surrounding Switch 2. Fans are hopeful that when the official reveal hits at Gamescom, Activision and Microsoft will at least provide clarity on when, or if, Call of Duty will come to Nintendo’s ecosystem.
