About this game

Song of Iron is a gritty Nordic-themed side-scrolling action-adventure game, developed by a one-man development team Resting Relic. Set off on an adventure where the entire world will be against you, your village lies broken behind you are broken helms and shattered shields, there’s nowhere to go but forward. In order to save your people, you must find the great temple of the gods, and slay all of those who get in your way, whether it be men, nature, and monsters.

• Carry the ancient relic of your people to its homeland and find the temple of the gods to curry favor with them.
• Use anything you can get your hands on to fight your enemy’s bows, axes, and shields but these will break, in time, and arrows will run out, no matter your foes won’t need their weapons once they are lying dead on the ground.
• To return to your ancient and mysterious homeland you need to journey through caves, forests, and mountains full of enemies and monsters, fight through them at your own peril or be subtle and sneak past them.

Song of Iron is a short and sweet Nordic adventure that tells a simple story that ends up much deeper than it first seems. With a range of gorgeous environments to explore and relatively satisfying combat, it only occasionally frustrates with some tricky boss fights and clunky movement resulting in some platforming pitfalls.
