Like many, the CMA is looking into the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard and they want your thoughts on the record-breaking deal.
UK regulator CMA recently released a statement declaring their worries about the Microsoft-Activision merger, saying they fear Sony and PlayStation will be at a significant disadvantage if the deal completes.
Now, the CMA is moving onto Phase 2 of its investigation into the acquisition, where they will gather further evidence and look into “potential concerns and “theories of harm.”
Interestingly, for Phase 2, the CMA is asking for the public’s opinion on the merger, with people encouraged to share their thoughts on the deal and if they believe it will have a negative impact on competition.
After Phase 2, the CMA will publish a final report on whether they think the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard should be approved.
If the deal goes through, it will be for a record $69 billion and add games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, World of Warcraft, and Diablo 4 to Microsoft’s games library.
