Valor Mortis is one of the much-awaited releases coming this fall especially for fans of Soulslikes and the team behind Ghostrunner. That game earned a strong following for its fast first-person combat, demanding movement and cyberpunk setting, and Valor Mortis takes the studio into a different setting while retaining its interest in first-person action.
In this game, the studio is combining Soulslike combat with an alternate-history take on the Napoleonic Wars. Players take the role of William, a soldier who has returned from the dead and finds Europe transformed by a mysterious plague. This 20-hour soulslike game mixes parries, dodges, supernatural abilities, exploration and boss encounters into a first-person action RPG.
