How Does BioEden’s Eco-Restoration Gameplay Work?
BioEden casts players as a Keeper, tasked by the Cosmic Collective to revive a barren planet through careful resource balancing and habitat restoration. By managing energy grids, water networks, and pollution levels, players gradually construct biodomes to shelter extinct animal species without any fail states or timer pressure.
The core loop revolves around recycling debris to power solar and water distribution systems, ensuring each new structure does not overwhelm the local environment. Players must carefully adjust temperature, humidity, and vegetation inside their domes to suit the unique DNA needs of recovered animals.
Players will align with one of five distinct Guilds to shape their philosophical approach to the restoration, engaging with mechanics that are confirmed to offer 15 to 20 hours of playtime.
Broken Arms Games, an 11-person Italian indie studio, has also explicitly confirmed a strict no-AI policy. Every piece of art, from the decaying ruins to the extraordinary wildlife, has been crafted entirely by human developers.
