Empulse Demo
Key Takeaways
  • Final Demo Hours: The free Steam Next Fest demo for Empulse ends today, June 22, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.
  • Early Access Launch: Developer 1047 Games will launch the 6v6 movement shooter into Early Access on June 24, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Pricing and Progress: Empulse will cost $19.99 with a launch-week discount and no microtransactions, but progress from the demo will not carry over.

Players interested in Empulse only have a few hours left to try the game before its public demo disappears. The upcoming PvP shooter has been available throughout Steam Next Fest, giving players an early look at what 1047 Games has been working on following the troubled launch period of Splitgate 2. With Early Access arriving in a couple of days, today’s demo is the final opportunity to jump in for free.

Empulse Demo Ends Today Ahead of Early Access Launch

Following the Splitgate 2 fiasco, which 1047 Games openly admitted to, the studio is jumping straight back into the PvP scene with Empulse. This title is a fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter where you can wall-run, use grappling hooks, and fight for control of mid-map mechs. It blends arcade-style vertical mobility with heavy mechanical warfare across a post-utopian setting.

Empulse is scheduled to launch in Early Access on June 24, 2026 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with full crossplay supported right from day one. It will launch without paid cosmetics, microtransactions, or a store, so all cosmetics will be earned in-game. Empulse will be priced at $19.99 across all platforms and will also include a launch-week discount.

While the original Splitgate was incredible, Splitgate 2 unfortunately missed the mark, so hopefully 1047 Games can redeem itself with this new venture. So far so good though with the demo currently available on Steam. However, it will be removed later today, June 22 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST, when Steam Next Fest officially comes to a close.

For anyone interested in the game, the demo offers a good look at what Empulse is trying to achieve. Since the game is a paid title, getting hands-on time before launch can help players decide whether it’s worth picking up when Early Access begins. It’s worth noting though that progress made in the demo will not carry over to the Early Access build.

But even if that’s the case, the demo features a pretty good slice of the game particularly if you are playing today since it has received six days of content drops. When the demo launched, it featured four maps and four modes. Since then, it has received one more map and one more mode, and it even featured a Lancer v Lancer mode, though that was only live for 24 hours on June 19.
