Beloved classic, Scarface: The World Is Yours, emerges. EC Digital has confirmed the game is up for re-release.

Update Oct 23 – After careful investigations, the community deduced that the Scarface The World Is Yours re-release was a scam. The listed publisher, EC Digital, was in fact a dissolved company and has also previously pulled another scam, offering a free-to-play game for purchase. As of writing, both Steam and Epic game pages for Scarface has been removed.

Original publication – Some old-timers were in for a treat this morning as the widely popular Scarface: The World Is Yours appeared on Epic Games Store, complete with today’s release date, price, and an option to buy already.

As expected, many were confused if this was a mistake as it’s one of those games that most considered won’t see the light of day again. Plus, considering it’s a beloved title, anyone would think there’ll be some sort of announcement, even after the page goes live. Turns out, the sudden launch was a mistake but the re-release is in fact, real.

Scarface: The World Is Yours Goes Live on Epic, Steam on the Way

Scarface: The World Is Yours first made its mark on July 25, 2006 for PS2, Xbox, and PC, then made its way to Wii in 2007. After its publisher, Vivendi Games dissolved as it merged with Activision, many lost hope of a future revival or a possible expansion.

But after almost 20 years, the game surprised many as it surfaced on Epic Games Store under EC Digital. Since the new publisher is virtually unknown, many were skeptical about the game’s existence. But of course, that didn’t stop fans from hoping it’s real.

And it is! As of writing, Scarface: The World Is Yours Steam page is also up, but unlike Epic, it’s not yet available. The publisher then posted a news update on Steam confirming that the game was indeed re-released on the Epic Games Store, albeit accidentally going live earlier than planned.

The team also mentioned that although a Steam version is confirmed, they are not rushing to get that out. And when it does, it will include a free DLC which allows for an optional HD graphics upgrade, made possible by using AI-assisted techniques. They reiterated that this is optional and players can switch between the original and enhanced version at any time.

Scarface: The World Is Yours officially re-launched on October 22, 2025 for Epic Games Store. It is developed by Radical Entertainment and published by EC Digital. A Steam release date has yet to be announced.
