Battlefield 6 Players Discover Glitch That Unlocks Phantom Edition Skins for Free
Battlefield 6 players on Standard Edition got a surprise earlier today as Phantom Edition skins appear in their account after today’s update.
Battlefield 6 update 1.0.1.6 was released due to reports of Phantom Edition skins missing in some users who bought this edition. While it fixed the issue, the DLCs in question have also appeared in some Standard Edition users for free.
Battlefield 6 Glitch: Phantom Edition Skins Unlocked for Free
It feels like Christmas for BF6 standard edition owners and it feels like Halloween for Phantom Edition players. The latter experienced some missing skins which were resolved today, and the former, well, some of them got those for free.
This glitch was reported by numerous players across different platforms, with some saying that they received the character skins on different classes, and some even got the dog tags too. The items vary and not everyone on the Standard Edition got them but it’s clear they weren’t supposed to have it since those are exclusive to the more expensive edition.
EA is still investigating what has happened and no patch was released yet after the issue surfaced. As of writing, the players who received the skins and dog tag still have them in their accounts. EA advised the affected players to hold off on using them, which let’s face it, no one will.
