Specifically, it’s a chapter in the Story series of the digital monsters, which began in 2006 and stands alongside the World series. With Story, it offers a focus on the plot and characters.

Digimon Story Time Stranger: Release Date and Time
Today marks the official launch of Digimon Story Time Stranger from the team at Media.Vision and Bandai Namco. This chapter was announced on 12 February 2025 during Sony’s State of Play. And it takes us on a new adventure more than 8 years after Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. The game is available starting today, which is:
- 2 October 2025 at 3:00 pm (PC) and 9:00 pm PDT (Console) / 6:00 pm EDT (PC)
- 3 October 2025 at 12:00 am EDT (Console) / 12:00 am (PC) and 6:00 am CEST (Console)
The team accompanies the launch with the new Agent Trailer. A trailer that shows us the main characters of the new adventure. Where we’ll play in the shoes of a Special Agent of ADAMAS as Yuki or Kanan. Investigating the digital world in search of the mystery of the explosion that sent us into the past. Available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Digimon Story Time Stranger: Gameplay and Main Features
TS therefore brings a new fantastic adventure to the Digital World. With the new chapter of the Story series putting us in the shoes of Special Agent Yuki/Kanan Dan. Who gets involved in the mysterious explosion in the Shinjuku district. Which will send him 8 years into the past, and interacting with the Digital World of Iliad. Offering then:
- Adventure Through Time: Uncovering the mystery behind our journey to the past to save a world in ruin. In a journey across the two worlds of the Human world and the Digital World: Iliad. A Digital World governed by the 12 members and Mega forms of the Olympus XII.
- Turn-Based Combat: In a turn-based combat between strategy and tactics. With over 450 Digimon and customizations available to tackle every fight.
This chapter also marks the series’ first debut on Xbox as well. Although a Nintendo Switch 2 version is missing, or any news about it, at least for now. Meanwhile, the Bandai team explains how to import the Demo Save to the full game. Allowing you to continue the adventure with the official launch.
