Dying Light The Beast Is Delayed, Techland Issues New Release Date
Techland announced the delay of Dying Light The Beast for four weeks. The new release date is September 19.
Dying Light fans had one more month to wait until the latest game of the franchise was released. However, Techland is pushing back the launch of Dying Light The Beast for four more weeks. To be fair, considering how long others are delayed for (especially those indefinitely so), eight weeks in total isn’t a long wait.
Dying Light The Beast Delayed To September 19
Dying Light The Best was initially scheduled to release on August 21, 2025. While everything seemed to be in place, Techland now announced that the team needs more time for extra polishing.
Although the preview was well received by the community, their aim is to release the best Dying Light game to date. And with that, there were few things from the preview feedback that they wanted to address. Techland reveals that they are working on “clarity of UI, increasing the quality of physics, as well as tweaking cutscenes and player animations.”
They understand the disappointment this may have caused but in the end, and rightly so, disappointment for a 4-week delay is easier to swallow than disappointment on the game when it launches.
While a delay is always unfortunate news, they are not leaving the fans out to dry. As per the announcement, they will continue giving regular updates starting next week and have a playable demo at Gamescom 2025.
