The latest title update was just deployed in April and now, Ubisoft announced that Avatar Frontiers of Pandora will be getting another major update this year.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Next Update Launches In December
In an official announcement yesterday, fans of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora will be getting a free major update on December 5th. That’s just two days before the game’s 2nd anniversary and two weeks from the release of the next movie, Avatar Fire and Ash, on December 19. Looks like the Holidays will be merrier for our Na’vi fighters.
The upcoming update, named Third-Person Update, adds in 2 of the most requested features: Third-Person Mode and New Game+. According to Massive Entertainment’s creative director, they’ve always envisioned the game to evolve with players. And to show their gratitude, they are bringing in what fans would like to see in the game.
Third-Person Mode lets players view the world of Pandora from a broader, more cinematic perspective, adding a new sense of scale and immersion to exploration and combat. With the press of a button, you can shift out of first-person to better appreciate the landscape. To support this feature, Massive Entertainment has overhauled key systems like reworking animations, adjusting controls, fine-tuning audio, and redesigning the camera.
New Game+ offers returning players a more challenging way to revisit the story of the game. It allows you to carry over your inventory and skills into a fresh playthrough, now with stronger enemies. This mode also introduces an all-new skill tree and access to higher-tier gear, rewarding seasoned players with deeper progression and a more demanding gameplay experience that expands the original campaign.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. While it’s not included on Game Pass nor PS Plus, it is part of the Ubisoft Plus library.
