It brings a bunch of improvements to the NBA experience with an updated version of ProPLAY for more realistic animations and reactions. Plus, some tweaks to the MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyNBA / The W experiences, and the updated roster of teams and athletes. NBA 2K26: Release Date and Platforms Announced
With summer in full swing, the team at 2K and Visual Concepts are gearing up for the annual Fall launch of NBA 2K. Confirming on 09 July 2025 the release date for NBA 2K26. The new edition of the sports title featuring pro basketball will debut on 05 September 2025.
Confirming the game’s arrival on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The announcement came with a short Reveal Trailer, “The Moment is Now“. With narration by none other than the legendary Spike Lee, revealing the game editions as well as the cover stars.

As confirmed with the game’s reveal, the 2K team unveiled the editions for NBA 2K26. The editions will be: Standard, WNBA (physical standard edition), Superstar Edition, and the Leave No Doubt Edition. The last two editions will offer:
