Lost Soul Aside No Longer Releasing In May, New Launch Date Announced
Lost Soul Aside delays its release for PS5 and PC. Preorders for Standard and Deluxe Editions are still live.
Lost Soul Aside has been in development for nearly a decade. What began as a solo project by developer Yang Bing back in 2016 has grown into one of the most anticipated titles, thanks to its jaw-dropping visuals and fast-paced combat reminiscent of Final Fantasy XV and Devil May Cry. So, when the game was finally given a release date back in February, fans were beyond ecstatic. After all, 10 years is a long wait.
But as is often the case in game development, the road to release can take unexpected turns. Unfortunately, that excitement is being tempered today with a change in plans.
Lost Soul Aside Release Date Delayed To August
Yang Bing, game director and CEO of Ultizero Games, has officially announced that Lost Soul Aside will no longer be launching on May 30 as previously announced. Instead, the new release date is now set for August 29, 2025 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
While the delay is definitely a letdown, especially after years of hype and anticipation, the good news is that it’s only a few months longer. Of course, there’s always that little bit of nervousness until the game actually lands in our hands, but as we’ve seen time and time again in this industry: it’s better to delay a game and launch it polished than to rush it and risk releasing something broken or even unplayable.

To be fair, the delay isn’t all bad news. It actually gives players more time to lock in their preorders. Lost Soul Aside is currently available to preorder in both Standard and Deluxe Editions.

Now gifted with strange powers and joined by a mysterious ally, he must battle the deadly Voidrax. Set across breathtaking 4K landscapes, the game blends fast-paced action with rich storytelling and immersive exploration.
