Behind its overly complex and stuffed systems, there’s a beautiful game possessing stellar art and a lot of heart. Those wanting a different kind of platformer will find a haven here.

There’s a cool mixture of hack-and-slash action and monster catching that’s stifled by the game’s own challenges, an abundance of shallow features and an inconsistent set of rules that it sets itself.
