About this game

Maid of Sker is a first-person survival horror game developed by wales interactive, inspired by Welsh folklore and the life of Elisabeth Williams. Set in 1988, you receive an ominous letter from your wife explaining that her parents are keeping her hostage in her room to prevent her from running away with you. She warns you to compose a song first based on her mother’s stopwatch. You resolve to confront her family about it but not all is at it seems in hotel Sker.

For such a short game, the time seems to run in slow motion as you sneak around. There is no problem at all with the game’s length. Instead, the real struggle is with a lackluster story and movements. Besides these issues, everything else is brilliant. From the stress of being quiet to the chase scenes that leave you needing to take a small break in the comfort of a safe area.
