If you are grinding Marvel Rivals, you need Twitch running in the background right now. NetEase is handing out free loot for Season 5.5, and the timing is perfect for the holidays.
Game studios often use free content to keep player bases active, and this hero shooter is no exception. The latest campaign focuses on Iron Fist, offering a full cosmetic set just for watching others play.
Marvel Rivals Plays Santa
The holiday campaign kicked off on Friday, December 12, and runs until January 9 at 9:59 AM (CET). That is a massive window of opportunity for players.
You do not need to binge-watch streams in a single sitting. The system tracks your progress over the entire month. As long as you hit the total viewing hours before the deadline, the rewards are yours.

The Loot Breakdown: How to Get Iron Fist
This event puts Iron Fist front and center with four distinct rewards. You unlock them in tiers based on your total watch time:
- 30 Minutes: Watch for half an hour to grab the Iron Fist Spray. It is a quick win to start your collection.
- 1 Hour: Stay tuned for another 30 minutes to earn the Iron Fist Nameplate.
- 2 Hours: At the two-hour mark, you unlock the Iron Fist Emote.
- 4 Hours: The big prize sits at the end. After four total hours, you receive the Iron Fist Costume. This is the item everyone wants, so keep that tab open.
Securing Your Marvel Rivals Drops
Grabbing these items requires a specific setup.
- First, log into your Twitch account and ensure it is legally linked to your Marvel Rivals account.
- If they are not connected, your watch time counts for nothing.
- Find any channel streaming Marvel Rivals with the “Drops Enabled” tag. Open the stream and let it run.
Crucial note: You must claim each reward manually from your Twitch Inventory menu as you unlock them. They do not appear in-game automatically. Also, watching multiple streams simultaneously does not speed up the process—stick to one channel.
Verdict: Is the Iron Fist Set Worth the Bandwidth?
Absolutely. Iron Fist is a popular character, and a full costume for zero dollars is a deal you cannot ignore. The requirements are low (only 4 hours over several weeks), making this an easy “yes” for any casual or competitive player.
Do you think this drop system is fair, or should skins be tied to in-game challenges instead?
