The Blood of Dawnwalker Gameplay Part II: Inside Svartrau’s Dark Secrets
The Rebel Wolves team is finally back with a new showcase for The Blood of Dawnwalker, showing off gameplay from the ambitious vampire-themed open-world action RPG!
The Blood of Dawnwalker (BoD) is the Dark Fantasy-style Action RPG from the dev team at Rebel Wolves. A dev team founded in 2022 by former founding members of the renowned Polish team CD Projekt Red. They’re debuting with an adventure heavily inspired by the medieval fantasy experience of The Witcher series.
Taking us to 14th-century Europe, following the story of Coen during the Plague pandemic. In a race against time to save his family. The game is slated for launch in 2026 in partnership with Bandai Namco. Bringing the first Gameplay Showcase in June 2025.

The Blood of Dawnwalker: Exploring the City of Svartrau
Rebel Wolves returns with a new gameplay Showcase for their ambitious dark fantasy action RPG. Bringing Part 2 into the world of The Blood of Dawnwalker, following the young Coen into the city of Svartrau and picking up the story from the Overview at the Xbox Game Showcase in June 2025.
With Ariana Siarkewicz, one of the writers at Rebel Wolves, telling us about the latest updates in the new Gameplay. This second part will conclude the mission started by Coen in search of a legendary sword. Also confirming the title’s Pre–Beta status, as well as some changes based on initial community feedback. The title is set to debut in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Showcasing Human Abilities by Day
As Ariana tells us, Coen will continue his mission in the city of Svartrau, capital of Vale Sangora. This time, the protagonist will enter the Cathedral as a human without running into trouble. Leading us this time to look for the keeper Radu on behalf of the Deacon in order to explore the Library.
Discovering a secret passage to the Asylum where it seems Radu was last seen. Leading us to discover and face a Murohon, a human who hasn’t been fully vampirized.
Showing off the Compel Soul Hex, an ability available as a human, to find out what happened to the souls. Where we’ll discover the Murohon’s identity as Radu. Reporting everything back and receiving access to the Library.
Moving Around as a Vampire by Night
But we also get a showcase of the mission at Night as a Vampire. Using the Planeshift and Shadow Step abilities to sneak into the Cathedral, but this time with a stealth approach, avoiding the powerful Xanthe.
Discovering that the legendary sword belongs to none other than Saint Mihai. Finally entering the Library, discovering new secrets about the city as well as the location of the weapon. Facing the guards outside, with a showcase of vampiric combat abilities.
With Voracious Bite to recover health and hurt enemies by sucking their blood. Ariana also confirms a second option for the camera view following fan feedback. Exploring the Crypt and finding the sword, but where we surprisingly face ST. Mihai as an undead.
