After months of anticipation, it’s finally happening. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is making its long-awaited crossover to PlayStation. The intense action RPG shooter from GSC Game World has been officially confirmed for release on both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro later this year.

For fans who’ve been stuck watching from the sidelines since its Xbox and PC debut, the moment has finally come, or at least, it’s on the horizon.

 

STALKER 2 Officially Comes To Playstation 5 in 2025

GSC Game World has now confirmed that STALKER 2 will be coming to PS5 and PS5 Pro in 2025. When the game originally launched on PC and Xbox, the studio stated that there were no current plans to bring the title to PlayStation. That left many fans unsure if they’d ever get to return to the Zone on Sony’s console.

Now, more than six months later, that uncertainty is gone. The studio has made it official, STALKER 2 is coming to PlayStation. And it’s not just a straight port. The game will take full advantage of DualSense features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, to deliver a more immersive and tactile experience. GSC also teased additional technical enhancements being developed specifically for the PlayStation 5 Pro, though more details will be revealed closer to launch.

   

While pre-orders aren’t available yet, players can wishlist the game now on the PlayStation Store to stay notified.

STALKER 2 isn’t the only Xbox title crossing over. Gears of War: Reloaded and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II are also confirmed to be making their way to PlayStation, marking a major shift in platform exclusivity dynamics.

The official PlayStation trailer for STALKER 2 is live now, giving PS5 players their first glimpse at the brutal world that awaits. The Zone is calling and this time, PlayStation users will finally be able to answer.
