Fixing the Faces: What Update 0.5 Brings to Solasta 2
Tactical Adventures has launched the 0.5 content update for Solasta 2, directly addressing community feedback regarding early access customization. The studio recognized that the initial character tools made it difficult to craft distinct adventuring parties, prompting a comprehensive overhaul of the creation suite.
Players now have access to more than 20 distinct facial sliders to manipulate features like nose width and lip height. The update also integrates a full body morphing system, allowing players to accurately reflect their character’s physical strength and training.
To compensate for the fixed pool of fully voiced dialogue, Tactical Adventures implemented five voice pitch levels per actor. Those who prefer rapid creation can utilize an expanded roster of pre-made presets, which the developers have doubled in quantity.
According to the official update logs from Tactical Adventures, players can now save completed characters into a dedicated collection. This allows users to easily share character files locally and prepare rosters ahead of the upcoming cooperative features.
When Will Solasta 2 Add Co-Op Multiplayer and New Classes?
Solasta 2 will add co-op multiplayer and a new playable class in the third quarter of this year. Following this Q3 update, a Q4 patch will introduce a second new class, two additional ancestries, a crafting system, the start of Act 2, and a level cap increase to level 6.
The current Early Access build on Steam strictly caps progression at level 4. The development roadmap outlines a steady stream of content leading into the full release, prioritizing foundational mechanics like the hex-crawl exploration system before expanding the narrative scope.
Tactical Adventures has confirmed that future incremental updates will continue to refine the character creator. Upcoming patches will introduce more haircuts, tattoos, and finer aesthetic details to further separate Solasta 2 from competitors in the CRPG genre.

They took the critics on the character creator of Solasta 1 personally, but it was so bad, hahah. The effort they are putting in this feature in Solasta 2 is impressive, and I must tell it is totally worth it. Now I hope they are finally happy and focus on the game’s content.
