New Balatro x Dead by Daylight Collaboration Announced
Balatro crosses over into Dead by Daylight with a free Unknown Madness cosmetic inspired by the Madness Joker, available on February 20.
Balatro, one of 2024’s biggest breakout hits, is once again crossing paths with Dead by Daylight. A new collaboration between the two games has been officially announced, and this time the crossover is heading in the opposite direction. After Dead by Daylight previously made its way into Balatro, Balatro is now stepping into Dead by Daylight’s world.
Balatro Is Coming to Dead by Daylight
The collaboration was first revealed during a recent Dead by Daylight developer stream (47s mark) which was primarily focused on the game’s Stranger Things update. As a surprise announcement during the broadcast, the dev shared that Balatro would be crossing over into Dead by Daylight, marking the second collab between the two games.
The first crossover took place in February of last year, when Dead by Daylight content was added to Balatro as part of the Friends of Jimbo 4 update. That update introduced DbD-themed cards for the Clubs suit featuring The Legion as the Jack of Clubs, The Huntress as the Queen of Clubs, and The Trapper as the King of Clubs.
Now the collaboration is coming full circle. Dead by Daylight, a game well known for its extensive crossover history, is officially bringing Balatro into its universe. As part of the collaboration, The Unknown, one of Dead by Daylight’s original killers known for its unsettling design and unpredictable behavior, is receiving a new cosmetic called Unknown Madness.
The new head cosmetic takes influence from the Madness Joker and will be available for free via redeemable codes. It will be released on Feb 20, just 4 days shy from its first collab anniversary.
