Marvel fans have something new to check out as Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls gets another trailer, this time revealing two additional characters and offering a clearer look at the game’s story setup.
MARVEL Tōkon Fighting Souls Confirms Peni Parker
As we get closer to the game’s launch date, more details about Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls are surfacing. Unlike last month’s leak that suggested the game would launch with a 20-character roster, this latest reveal is official. PlayStation recently released a new trailer introducing a team called The Amazing Guardians.
The team is made up of four Marvel favorites including Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, and newly confirmed playable character Peni Parker. Her addition brings SP//dr into the game which adds a different style of combat compared to the rest of the roster.
The trailer also introduced a new character named Promoter, who is revealed to be an Elder of the Universe called Xirena Awhina. She travels across the galaxy organizing entertainment events, usually in the form of high-stakes tournaments. In the game, she invites both heroes and villains to compete in a massive showdown that will determine the fate of Earth which sets the stage for the game’s Episode Mode storyline.
All of this adds another layer of excitement as the roster and narrative begin to take shape. While there’s no downloadable demo available right now, fans who plan to attend EVO Japan 2026 from May 1–3 will get a chance to try the game early.
The demo build will feature 12 playable characters including Peni Parker and four stages, one of which is the Knowhere battle stage.
Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls is set to launch on August 6, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
