Neowiz’s Massive Console Expansion

The studio that brought Pinocchio to the Soulslike genre is expanding rapidly. Co-CEO Sean Kim confirmed in an interview with Game Informer, that Neowiz is internally developing more than five new PC and console titles. The goal is clear: build long-lasting franchises that retain player interest for a decade, not just a launch weekend.

While Lies of P remains the crown jewel, the development teams are branching out. Kim emphasized that they do not force specific genres on their directors. Instead, they back strong creative visions that have long-term engagement potential.

This includes a reported survival adventure and a life-simulation game alongside their action-heavy roots.

Fans asking about the next chapter can breathe easy. Round8 Studio is fully focused on the Lies of P sequel. While specific details remain under wraps, the success of the Overture expansion proved the IP has massive global appeal.

Neowiz is also looking West. They have secured publishing partnerships with Western studios Zakazane and Wolfeye. These collaborations aim to nurture strong narrative foundations into scalable franchises.

Kim notes that Neowiz selects partners based on their ability to build worlds that can support sequels and long-term fandoms.

It is not just about AAA blockbusters. Neowiz’s indie sector is thriving. The recent release Shape of Dreams moved 500,000 copies in just two weeks, proving their eye for smaller, high-quality projects is sharp. Sanabi also continues to perform well, highlighting the strength of local Korean talent.

On the controversial topic of AI, Neowiz takes a practical approach. They utilize tools like ChatGPT and Gemini for operational efficiency—automating test cases and data analysis—rather than replacing creative jobs. This allows their experts to focus on strategy and player engagement.
