Front Mission 3 Remake expands to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on January 30, 2026, with a demo available now for tactical RPG fans.

Exciting news for tactical RPG fans who have been waiting patiently as Front Mission 3 Remake is finally landing on more consoles. After launching exclusively on the Switch 2 back on June 26, the classic mech-based RPG is expanding its reach. Starting January 30, players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox will be able to jump into the action. Front Mission 3 Remake Launches to More Platforms in January

Front Mission 3 Remake is finally coming to Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG on January 30, 2026. This remake initially launched on June 26 this year but was only available on Nintendo Switch 2. So as one can imagine, the upcoming release to more platforms is great news especially to Playstation users who played the original game when it first launched on Sony’s platform in 2000.

Players can expect improved visuals, smoother animations, and reorchestrated music that refreshes the classic soundtrack without losing its identity. Combat remains turn-based and tactical with players piloting massive mechs across grid-based battlefields.

A new Quick Combat mode has also been added which allows players to move through battles at a faster pace when they want to focus more on momentum rather than micromanagement. Customization has been expanded as well including new camo options that let players personalize their Wanzers on the battlefield.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Front Mission 3 is set in a future shaped by political tension, corporate power, and advanced military technology. The story follows Kazuki Takemura and his friend Ryogo, who are pulled into a global conflict after a routine delivery goes wrong.

Early in the game, players make a key decision that splits the narrative into two distinct storylines. One path sees Kazuki teaming up with his sister Alisa, while the other follows his involvement with Emma Klamsky, an operative investigating the secret M.I.D.A.S. weapon project. Both routes explore themes of loyalty, family, and the consequences of unchecked technology, offering different perspectives on the same unfolding crisis.

While the January 30 release date is not far off, players don’t have to wait to get a feel for the remake.
