Epic Games has quietly added a Bigfoot NPC to the map. But this isn’t your standard interaction. According to reliable leaker Shiina, this cryptid can spawn randomly across the island.
The catch? You can’t really interact with him.
If you get too close, Bigfoot vanishes into thin air. Furthermore, he is completely immune to damage, so don’t waste your ammo trying to secure a trophy. I found him wandering near Tiptop Terrace, but the encounter was brief.
It serves as a fun easter egg rather than a gameplay mechanic. It adds a layer of mystery as we wait for Winterfest to fully kick off.

Why the “Sasquatchin'” Emote Was Left Out
While the inclusion of the legendary creature is a nice touch, I can’t help but feel the developers missed a golden opportunity.
If you know lore, you know the iconic Patterson-Gimlin film. It represents the shaky footage of a sasquatch looking back at the camera.
Fortnite actually has an emote based on this exact walk, called “Sasquatchin‘.”
It feels bizarre that the NPC doesn’t utilize this specific animation when patrolling the woods. It would have been the perfect nod to the cryptid’s history and the viral culture Fortnite usually embraces. Perhaps Epic will patch this in later, but for now, he just wanders normally.
