What is Exoprimal?

Exoprimal is the new shooter game developed by Capcom. It has already undergone two open betas and was highly anticipated at the Xbox Showcase. The game will be released on July 14, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series XIS.

Exoprimal primarily features a PvPvE (Player versus Player versus Environment) shooter experience, where you join a group to fight against monsters and strive to be faster than your human opponents.

The monsters in Exoprimal are modified dinosaurs that often resemble their original counterparts but possess unique abilities.

To take down the dinosaurs equipped with deadly lasers and other weapons in Exoprimal, you have access to various Exosuits. We will delve into these Exosuits in more detail later, but first, let’s take a look at the different game modes.

All Game Modes

Exoprimal offers not just one, but 7 different game modes, providing a wide variety of gameplay experiences. The main mode is the Dinosaur Survival Mode, where you team up with up to 5 players to embark on thrilling missions, encounter special enemies, and follow an engaging story.

In these missions, you’ll have various tasks familiar from other games, such as escort missions, assassination missions, hunting missions, and more. Your goal is to outperform other players pursuing the same objective.

The Dinosaur Cull Mode is similar to the Monster Hunter games, where you must defeat a specific dinosaur while dealing with additional smaller enemies along the way.

Furthermore, a Defense mode has been announced, where you must defend your ship against waves of dinosaurs.

In the Capture the Flag mode, your objective is to carry a flag or, rather, a key card from one side of the map to the other without getting killed.

Omega Charge is a game mode where you fight against particularly large dinosaurs. To defeat them, you must charge up a massive hammer that will do the rest for you.

In the Energy Taker mode, your goal is to gather as much energy as possible within a specific time frame to defeat the opposing team.

The Savage Gauntlet mode is a challenging endgame mode. Here, you face weekly changing challenges against the same enemies, aiming to be as fast as possible.

To succeed, you must set traps and prepare for different types of enemies. You can replay this mission as many times as you want to surpass your records and potentially achieve the top spot on the world leaderboard for that mission.

It becomes clear that Exoprimal offers a variety of game modes, incorporating familiar elements from other games while introducing its own unique aspects. This diverse mix appeals to different players and ensures that they won’t get bored quickly.

The Exosuits

Exoprimal aims to present you with a wide selection of different Exosuits. The first ten Exosuits that will be available directly at release are already known. 

Here are the ten Exosuits:

• Barrage Alpha: Rocket Hop
• Vigilant Alpha: Marksman

• Witchdoctor Alpha: Duality Beam
• Skywave Alpha: Thunderclap
• Nimbus Alpha: Double Barrel

Each of these Exosuits possesses unique abilities that allow you to tailor your gameplay style according to your preferences.
