Dying Light: The Beast is the new chapter in the first-person open-world zombie survival series by Techland. The Polish development studio is known for several beloved series such as Call of Juarez, Dead Island, and Dying Light. The Beast started out as a DLC for the second game but has since evolved into a new standalone experience.

We’re back in the shoes of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the first game. The Beast will tell the harrowing story of what Kyle endured for 13 long years at the hands of the Baron.   • Castor Woods: A stunning new location with a more rural, natural feel. What was once a tourist destination is now in complete ruins and teeming with zombies. The location has a story to tell through its iconic areas, including the tourist, industrial, and rural zones.
  • Brutal Combat: Where every slash, punch, and bullet has a real impact, thanks to enemy reactions. Plus, a revamped wound system with new animations. Not to mention even more dangerous human enemies with over 22 strategies and behaviors, and even more aggressive zombies.
  • Zombies: The new chapter pushes zombie behavior and visuals even further. From the still-human-like Virals and Biters, with over 110 visual variants, to the terrifying Chimeras, the results of the Baron’s experiments.
  • Parkour: Movement and parkour also get a major upgrade. It’s no longer limited by stamina and features even more realistic physics. You can integrate movement with combat more naturally, revamped with Kyle’s new physical abilities.

All this is paired with an immersive experience featuring a dynamic weather system that’s detailed both sonically and visually.
