Dispatch: New Superhero Adventure from Former Telltale Developers Launches on October 22, 2025

Yesterday, a new game from the former Telltale Games developers was released. Their new studio is called AdHoc Studio, and its members are known for Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us. Their latest title launched on October 22, 2025, and it’s called Dispatch.

Dispatch

Dispatch is all about superheroes at work and is packed with comedy moments. In the game, you’ll make choices that shape the story’s direction. But here’s the twist: you’re not the hero — you’re the dispatcher managing a team of chaotic ex-villains.

What is Dispatch?

Dispatch is an episodic narrative adventure where you play as Robert Robertson. Once a superhero known as Mecha Man, his career ended after his mech suit broke down during a failed mission. Now, he’s stuck with a desk job at the Superhero Dispatch Network. His new mission: coordinate rescue operations while managing a team of reformed villains. Ultimately, Robert’s goal is to rebuild his mech suit and seek revenge.

Throughout the game, you’ll make dialogue-based decisions that affect relationships, career paths, team dynamics, and your crew’s rehabilitation success. There are also management and strategy elements — you’ll decide which hero tackles each mission. The focus isn’t on epic superhero battles but rather on desk work, office drama, and team coordination in a world of capes and chaos.

Manage Your Team and the City

Missions in Dispatch unfold on a strategic city map. You’ll track emergencies and threats and decide which of your ex-villains to send based on their skills, condition, and relationships. Every choice carries consequencessuccesses, failures, or injuries will impact your team and the story. But your crew are more than names: each has unique personalities, flaws, and emotional baggage that make management more complex.

Between missions, you’ll manage resources, skills, and equipment upgrades. You’ll also have conversations that shape relationships with other characters. The gameplay requires a careful balance of risk, efficiency, and morale. Combined with the narrative adventure elements, your choices truly matter.

Dispatch’s Star Cast & Narrative Comedy

The game’s focus lies in its storytelling, dialogue, and character development. Every decision matters — even small talk can change the course of the story. The voice cast features several well-known actors (in English):

  • Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) – Main Role
  • Laura Bailey (The Last of Us II)
  • Jeffrey Wright (The Batman)
  • YouTubers like Jacksepticeye & MoistCr1TiKaL
  • And many more…

The overall tone is light-hearted and humorousbureaucracy meets superhero madness, resulting in pure chaos. The dialogues are witty and comedy-driven. Dispatch carries the classic Telltale DNAstrong storytelling, moral dilemmas, and branching choices.

Release Date & Demo Availability

Dispatch was released on October 22, 2025 for PC and PlayStation 5. Upon launch, the previously available free demo (live since May 2025) was removed. In addition to the Standard Edition, there’s a Digital Deluxe Edition featuring the official soundtrack, 4 digital comics with 45+ pages, and a 100+ page digital artbook. The game will be released episodically in eight parts. The first two episodes are out now, with the remaining chapters arriving weekly in pairs — meaning Episodes 3 and 4 drop next week.

Conclusion – Superhero Office Life with Charm and a Slow Start

Dispatch injects fresh energy into the narrative adventure genre and proves that superhero life can be full of bureaucracy, chaos, and humor. With its sharp dialogue, moral decision-making, and the Telltale spirit at its core, it’s a must-play for fans of story-driven adventures. The character-focused moments and satirical take on hero work — somewhere between a management sim and a comedy show — truly stand out.

However, there’s a small downside: so far, only the first two of eight episodes are available. For some players, it may feel like the story ends just as it’s getting good. Those who dislike waiting week to week may need some patience. Still, Dispatch already shines with its creative concept, humor, and chaotic charm that only Telltale veterans could deliver so well.
