In my opinion, this is an excellent cooperative game that revisits some of the codes of the previous Outlast games. Here, you play cooperatively with four players on varied maps, and there are no head-on confrontations. Instead, you flee, you bypass, you listen, you observe, you collect items, and you solve environmental puzzles. The game focuses on psychological horror and tension, which makes for some really exciting gameplay I'd say
The latest entry in the Outlast franchise steps things up, introducing a key multiplayer component to the game that requires cooperation in order to easily beat the different missions. You can also play it solo but it's much more fun and accessible with friends. Run or hide from the enemies and complete different tasks to complete each level with access to unique tools, upgrades and perks that you can acquire in the lobby room.
I think that from all recently released horror games, The Outlast Trials is easily is in top 5 the best ones. With its violent and creepy atmosphere, breathtaking chases and brand new co-op mode this title outshined other installments in the series. Strongly recommend trying it with friends, it's an unforgettable experience.
