Xbox Game Pass Gets Two More Game Preview Entries This Month
Microsoft reveals Xbox Game Pass wave 2 lineup and it includes 2 Game Preview entries, making it a total of 3 Early Access games for the service this month.
While all eyes were on Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 (so were we!), Microsoft announced the Wave 2 list for Xbox Game Pass this month. Of course it isn’t as big as the ONL announcements but for members of the service, the second half of the month is worth getting excited for too.
More Game Preview Titles On Xbox Game Pass for August
Wave 2 features a lineup of seven games, and unlike previous months, August brings a notable surge in Early Access titles. Thanks to the Game Preview program, subscribers can now play these in-development games at no additional cost.
The first half of the month ended with 9 Kings’ entry into the service, and now, the second half opens with 2 more Game Preview titles. As of August 19, Blacksmith Master and Void/Breaker are available to play on PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC members.
Void/Breaker was one of the titles featured in Gamescom ONL and also one of the surprise launches during the show. Xbox may have their broadcast scheduled for the 20th and 21st but as expected, it was bound to make a splash during the opening show of Gamescom too.
It’s nice to see that Early Access titles are no longer “exclusive” to Steam or Epic. Xbox has been slowly integrating them into Game Pass and August is a clear indication that this is now part of their vision for the service. If you’re not on Game Pass yet, think about it more because this year is definitely when you want to be part of it.
