Xbox Game Pass Gets Its First Surprise Addition For September 2025

I Am Your Beast just got added to Xbox Game Pass, ahead of the official announcement of the wave 1 list. Available on Ultimate, PC & Standard.

Microsoft hasn’t even announced the Xbox Game Pass September lineup but members already scored a new title to play for free with their subscription. And no one is exempt, Ultimate, PC, and Standard members can all enjoy I Am Your Best starting today.

As we all wait for the official announcement for the Xbox Game Pass lineup this month with the ‘Available Now’ games, well, it didn’t go as expected. We still do not have the confirmed wave 1 list but we do have the surprise addition.

Completely unannounced, unless someone made it available earlier than planned, I Am Your Beast is now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC, and Standard. It was initially released in September 2024 for PC and was launched on console June this year.

It is a great game with high ratings but apparently didn’t do so well commercially. To be fair, September 2024 is a tough month to release since the likes of Astro Bot, Frostpunk 2, and Age of Mythology Retold also launched. Its console debut in June 2025 was pretty much the same case since the month was headlined by the release of Switch 2, Dune Awakening, and Death Stranding 2 On The Beach.

So if you’ve missed it before, Microsoft is giving you a headstart before you get all excited for the rest of the September lineup. It’s the best game to play too while waiting as it takes 4-5 hours only to beat.

I Am Your Beast is a stylish comic book-inspired FPS where you play as Alphonse Harding, a former agent who turns against the shadowy Covert Operations Initiative and must use his skills and the wilderness to survive. The game delivers fast-paced action with superhuman abilities like tree climbing and brutal headshot explosions, a fully voiced story campaign spanning over 20 levels, and replayable micro-sandbox missions filled with side objectives and speed challenges. With a mix of weapons from pistols and sniper rifles to deadly bear traps, all backed by RJ Lake’s intense soundtrack, it offers an exciting mix of survival, style, and explosive combat.

The full list of games entering Xbox Game Pass for September 2025 is expected to be announced later today.
