Developer Tuxedo Labs launched a major free multiplayer update for Teardown on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The studio confirmed the rollout alongside Mod Pack 6, bringing online destructible physics to console players for the first time.

What Does the Free Teardown Console Multiplayer Update Include?

The free Teardown console multiplayer update introduces 12-player online co-op across the complete 40-mission campaign, an open sandbox mode, and competitive match types on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The patch also adds two official maps alongside Mod Pack 6, which delivers 30 community game modes at no extra cost to base game owners.

Tuxedo Labs structured the cooperative campaign so groups can coordinate complex heists together. Console squads can formulate destructive entry routes and share resources to meet mission timers.

The sandbox mode grants unlimited resources to player groups. Participants can demolish fully simulated voxel structures simultaneously without gameplay restrictions.

Competitive Modes and Community Mod Pack 6 Expand Console Variety

According to the official Tuxedo Labs press release, the console update adds classic multiplayer playlists alongside tailored battlegrounds. Players can compete in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag.

The update introduces two official environments built for structured combat. Splitfield Estate integrates the objective-driven Treasure Thieves mode, while Cratertown features a mirrored layout engineered for symmetrical team competition.

Mod Pack 6 complements the base playlists with 30 distinct community creations. Console players gain access to custom variants including Battle Royale, Vehicle Sumo, and Prop Hunt. Tuxedo Labs also updated over 40 existing community creations from Mod Packs 1 through 4 to support online sessions natively.
