Splitgate Creators Reveal a New High-Speed Movement Shooter

The movement shooter genre is a high-stakes, high-speed arena where physics is the only true enemy. With Titanfall in the rearview mirror and Call of Duty slowing its roll, 1047 Games, the architects behind the portal-hopping hit Splitgate, has officially stepped into the vacuum after it revealed it is working on a new game.

In a surprising twist, 1047 Games has announced that, while its core team continues to refine the Splitgate universe, a specialized sub-team is now heads-down on a new project.

Speaking at the end of a video announcing Splitgate: Arena Reloaded Season 2, 1047 Games co-founder and CEO Ian Proulx revealed that the studio is now working on a new “movement shooter” similar to Titanfall and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

The Evolution of Movement: Better Than Titanfall?

The CEO of 1047 Games has been vocal about the DNA of this new title. We aren’t just looking at another arena shooter, but a direct love letter to the high-skill ceilings found in Black Ops 3 and the Titanfall series.

Crucially, this isn’t a distraction for the main team. A separate, specialized crew is handling this project, leaving the Splitgate: Arena Reloaded developers to focus on their own lane.

Price & Accessibility: What to Expect?

While we don’t have an official price attached to the project yet, all signs point toward a free-to-play structure. 1047 Games built its reputation on free-to-play games, and this new movement-heavy title will likely follow that blueprint.

Once the game launches, using Allkeyshop to secure future DLC, battle passes, or currency packs will be the best way to avoid the high official costs many F2P titles employ.

A New Era for 1047 Games?

The big question is whether a multi-game strategy can truly sustain the studio following the Splitgate 2 rebrand. By branching out into a dedicated movement shooter, 1047 Games is setting itself up as a powerhouse for niche FPS sub-genres that major publishers have abandoned.

We recommend following the project closely for upcoming technical playtests to get an early feel for the physics.
